Did anyone catch this show? It was canceled after 4 shows, supposedly due to pressure from "conservative religious groups" or something to that effect.
I watched the first show with a very critical eye, looking for anything blasphemous and expecting to be offended. I was disappointed. All was in good taste. It was a good show! Indeed, the Episcopalian minister's family was rather disfunctional. The daughter did not use drugs but was caught selling drugs, one son was gay and his secretary was a lesbian having a relationship with his sister-in-law. The minister was visited a couple times a day by Jesus for a chat, sometimes while driving. A lesson of sorts was learned from the chats with Jesus. There really was substance to a show for a change!
I fear that the Amerian Family Association and people who opposed the show did so purely on hearsay and rumor, and did not actually view it. Blind opposition to things like this is just another example of things that give Christians a bad name.
